Coronavirus cases in Indonesia have increased through more than 3,000 cases for the fifth consecutive day, at which point this has happened this month, with the largest infections reached on Thursday, according to official data.

The Health Ministry showed that the country had 3,806 new instances in 24 hours until mid-Saturday, with 106 deaths. The total number of infections shown reached 214,746 and there were 8,650 deaths.

The accumulation of coronavirus cases has led the governor of Jakarta to take primary social estating measures for two weeks from Monday.
