YAKARTA, 3 September – Indonesia recorded 3,622 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours through noon on Thursday, the highest number of cases since the first case recorded on 2 March in the republic.
According to knowledge published Thursday on the Indonesian government’s official online website on COVID-19, www.covid19.go.id, the number of positive cases so far has increased to 184,268, while the number of deaths has increased to 7750.
A total of 134 deaths were also reported in the last 24 hours until noon on Thursday.
Jakarta Province recorded the number of positive cases, 43,400, adding up to the latest incorporation of 1359 cases.
East Java Province recorded the number of 2,459 cases, followed by Jakarta (1,246); Central Java (1,061); South Sulawesi (367) and the rest in the other provinces.
