YAKARTA, 15 August – Indonesia has reported 2,345 new cases of COVID-19 and 50 deaths from the disease in the last 24 hours until noon on Saturday, bringing the total number of positive cases to 137,468 and the death toll to 6071.
The country’s official at COVID-19 – www.covid19.go.id also reported that another 76,327 people were under surveillance.
Jakarta province recorded the number of positive cases with 28,882, followed by East Java with 27,415 and the rest in 32 other provinces.
East Java recorded the death toll with 1,988, followed by Jakarta (980), Central Java (780), Southern Sulawesi (343) and the rest in other provinces.
