India’s ‘amazing’ can help bring ‘good news’ to the world in immediate COVID-19 trials: Israel

Applauding India as “amazing” in presenting a quick check for COVID-19, Israel expressed Wednesday hope that joint efforts could bring “good news” to the world in a few months.

Israeli and Indian scientists are jointly working on an ambitious project to develop a rapid corona test that can provide results within tens of seconds.

The Directorate for Defence Research and Development (DDR-D), the Israeli Ministry of Defense (IMoD) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have completed their project to collect samples to verify and validate 4 Israeli diagnostic technologies, an WCO press said here.

“The purpose is to bring the technological capacity to the world to conduct immediate Corona tests in a matter of tens of seconds, which will allow the opening of airports, work buildings, schools, exercise stations and more,” said Colonel Asaf Maller, an Israeli Defense Aggregate in India cited in the statement.

The Indian for the task is unbelievable. All studies and progress agencies, adding Prime Minister Modi’s Scientific Adviser (Narendra), have fully joined the operation. We hope that in a few months we can bring news to the world,” Maller said.

The Israeli team that left for India on July 26 will return in the coming days with more than 20,000 samples taken from PATIENTS with COVID-19, the resources said here.

“The purpose is to bring the technological ability to conduct immediate crown tests in a matter of tens of seconds,” Maller said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, DDR-D had tested dozens of diagnostic technologies.

Some of them have matured and passed initial trials in Israel, however in order to complete testing and prove their effectiveness, these had to be tested on a wide range of patients, defence ministry sources told PTI.

The four tech systems that are being tested are – voice test, breathalyzer test based on terra-hertz waves, isothermal test, and polyamino acids test.

Prime Minister Modi and his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu have had 3 talks since the outbreak of the pandemic and promised mutual assistance in dealing with the virus, participating in joint technology and clinical studies between the two countries.

“We are in the midst of processing and analysing the data that we have collected, and will continue this process upon our arrival to Israel. We are optimistic and hopeful that we will put in place a system for the rapid diagnosis of the coronavirus,” Head of the delegation Israeli delegation on behalf of DDR&D, Lt Col Yaniv Meirman, was quoted as saying in the IMoD press statement.

The joint team included representatives of the Ministries of Defence, Foreign Affairs and Health. They installed six drive-in sites in Delhi for sampling purposes and two technologies from knowledge processing laboratories that borrowed from Israel.

The Indian government has also entrusted thousands of local professionals with the collection of samples (50 to one hundred site-consistent) of thousands of volunteers by non-invasive means.

Four types of patient samples were taken: sound, saliva, breath and a swab.

The activity was supervised through joint Indo-Israeli groups at all sites, ensuring that they all complied with the predetermined rules and regulations.

The collected samples were inserted into systems based on synthetic intelligence, allowing DDR-D and representatives of the Israeli industry to begin processing and analyzing the data.

This will continue when the delegation returns to Israel, WCO said.

“We came to India to enrich Israeli diagnostic technologies and this time we discovered genuine partners, partners completely committed to the good fortune of the mission. We are processing and analyzing the knowledge we have gathered and will continue this procedure when we arrive in Israel,” Meirman said.

“We are positive and hope that in the short and long term we will put in an immediate diagnostic formula for coronavirus, which will further open up the Israeli economy,” will open “the skies and the damage caused by the pandemic.” he said.

The activity in India was carried out in accordance with strict rules and regulations to ensure the protection and suitability of all involved.
