Indiana reported a record number of new coronavirus cases on Saturday, two weeks after Gov. Eric Holcomb moved to Stage 5, the final phase of the state’s reopening plan.
The Indiana State Department of Health reported 1,945 new coronavirus cases and 21 COVID-19-like deaths on Saturday. The record number of new ones broke a record set the previous day: the fitness service reported a new 1,832 on Friday.
Recent maximum additions raise the total number of inflamed Hoosiers inhabitants to more than 133,000. To date, another 3,555 people have died from the disease in Indiana.
The reported cases on Saturday were Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, but one of the deaths occurred this week, arrived on September 29.
In particular, more people than ever are being screened for coronavirus across the state. As of October 3, the highest recent non-preliminary knowledge available, the test was conducted at an average of another 21,725 people from the last seven days.

In addition to the deaths shown, an additional 227 probable deaths were reported. Likely deaths are in clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive evidence is recorded.
Of the state’s 2,232 extensive care beds, 32. 3% are available, while 15. 2% are occupied by others diagnosed with COVID-19. Of the 2,890 state enthusiasts, 78. 4% are available. Only 4% of state enthusiasts are used through others affected by coronavirus.
