Indian expats will soon use RuPay in Oman

RuPay powers bank accounts in a single mobile app

Muscat: Indian expats will probably soon have something to cheer about, as they will possibly use the RuPay card and UPI platform in Oman.

RuPay is an Indian multinational monetary and payment formula, designed and introduced through the National Payments Corporation of India in 2012. The Unified Payments Interface (UPI) is a formula that powers multiple bank accounts into a single mobile app (from any participating bank), merging multiple banking functions, seamless budget routing, and business invoices into a single hood.

An agreement between India and Oman is expected in this regard, the next stop at India’s Minister of State for External Affairs, V Muraleedharan, according to an Indian news site on Sunday.

The Muraleedharan scale is scheduled to begin on Monday and the two days will take you to a network reception in addition to the unveiling of the Mahatma Gandhi statue at the Indian Embassy in Muscat.
