India’s Delhi Metro Rail Corporation is managing consulting allocations for Bahrain’s $2 billion metro project, according to a report the company mentions.
The Delhi Metro is an immediate transit formula serving Delhi and its satellite cities of Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Noida, Bahadurgarh and Ballabhgarh in the National Capital Region of India.
DMRC is an equivalent joint venture between the Government of India and the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi. A senior DMRC official said that lately it is running on consulting assignments for the Tel Aviv Metro Project, Bahrain Metro Project, Mauritius Metro Project, Alexandria Metro Project (Egypt) and Ho Chi Minh City Metro Project (Vietnam).
DMRC has provided human resource manpower for the allocation of the Jakarta metro in Indonesia in the past. An earlier report via “ET Now” indicated that the Delhi Metro partnered with Virtue Global Holding Ltd for the paints in phase 1 of 29km of the Bahrain metro.
Under the agreement, DMRC would execute the engineering, procurement and structure contract if the Dubai-based money company, which already qualified in the pre-bid phase, wins the bid.
The final tender, DMRC said, is expected in November. The Bahrain Metro is a fully automated, driverless formula that will deliver memorable rides through residential, commercial, administrative and recreational locations.
The red and blue lines that make up the 1 of the new metro formula will cover a total of 28. 6 km. During peak hours, up to 43,000 passengers will be served.
