India reports new covid cases in one day

New Delhi: India has reported new coronavirus infections in the past 24 hours, with an active case count of 1,452, according to an update from the Health Ministry on Thursday. There has been a steady decline in covid cases in recent months.

The total number of cases is nearly 4. 50 crore with a death toll of 531,915.

Scientists suggest that the risk of the virus has been mitigated due to widespread exposure leading to broad immunity. However, they emphasize the need to be vigilant against potentially serious long-term variants.

Meanwhile, older adults and those with underlying fitness situations remain at risk. Health professionals have suggested opting for reminders, if they haven’t already taken them, and adopting appropriate behaviors safely.

Hybrid immunity, brought about through vaccination and herbal infection, appears to have strengthened the Indian population against existing variants, leading to hospitalizations and severe consequences due to the mild nature of the virus.

To date, approximately 44. 46 million recoveries have been reported, 59 in the last day, bringing the recovery rate to an impressive 98. 81%.

About 45,854 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of tests conducted to nearly Rs 92. 93 crore.

So far of the covid vaccination campaign, more than 220. 67 million doses of vaccine have been administered to the population across the country so far. In the past 24 hours, approximately 516 doses of vaccine have been administered.
