India reports more than 2,400 new COVID infections in the last 24 hours; Active at 28,079

The total number of deaths rose to 5,28,814 with 15 deaths, adding 12 reconciled deaths in Kerala, according to data updated at 8 a. m.

Active instances account for 0. 06% of the total number of infections, while the national recovery rate from COVID-19 has risen to 98. 75%, the fitness ministry said.

A minimum of 514 cases were recorded in the number of active COVID-19 cases in the space of 24 hours.

The daily positivity rate registered 2. 65 percent, while the weekly positivity rate registered 1. 27 percent, according to the Ministry of Health.

The number of other people who recovered from the disease reached 4. 40, 57,544, while the case fatality rate was recorded at 1. 19%.

According to the ministry, 218. 99 million doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the country as part of the national COVID-19 vaccination campaign.

The COVID-19 count in India had crossed the 20 lakh mark on August 7, 2020, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5, and 50 lakh on September 16.

India reached the grim milestone of two crore on May 4, 3 crore on June 23, 2021 and 4 crore on January 25 this year.
