New Delhi: India reported 1,957 new covid infections, while active cases fell to 27,374 in the past 24 hours, according to an update from the Union Health Ministry on Tuesday. The total number of reported cases reached 4. 45 crore and the death toll remains. at 528,822.
The daily positivity rate reported at 0. 71% while the weekly positivity rate was 1. 21%.
In the last 24 hours, more than 2654 people have recovered from covid. Since the beginning of the pandemic, India has reported 4,40,60,198 recoveries.
The country has conducted over 89. 74 crore of covid tests so far, while 2,76,125 tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours.
As of India’s covid vaccination campaign, more than 219. 04 doses of crore vaccine have been administered.
It was suggested that states continue to monitor incoming foreign travelers, adopt consistent genomic sequencing, and accentuate vaccination.
