The number of COVID-19 cases in India fell to 2,112 on Saturday, officials said.
According to Health Ministry data released Saturday morning, 2,112 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 44,640,748 in the country.
With the notification of newArray, the number of assets in India lately rises to 24,043.
The country also recorded 4 COVID-19-related deaths in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 528,957 since the pandemic began in 2020, the ministry said.
With the accumulation of cases, the daily positivity rate stood at 1. 01% and the weekly positivity rate at 0. 97%, according to ministry data.
The ministry said that to date, another 44,087,748 people have been effectively cured and discharged from hospital, adding up to 3,102 in the last 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Health, the cumulative vaccination against COVID-19 in the country reached 2,195,388,326 doses on Saturday morning.
A cumulative total of 899,836,516 samples were tested on Oct. 21, the Health Ministry said Saturday. Of those, 209,088 tests were conducted on Friday.
