India outperformed Brazil in the country with the highest number of coronavirus infections in general after the United States, and the country reported 90802 new cases on Monday, as the pandemic continues to increase in the world’s most populous country at the time with no sign of a peak yet.
India has so far recorded more than 4.2 million cases of Covid-19, up from US$6.2 million, according to WHO data.
India has added more new instances than any other country since early August, and Sunday was the first country to register more than 90,000 instances in a day without getting married.
While the number of cases continues to increase dramatically, the number of Covid deaths in India, across around 71,000 people, is lower than 126,000 in Brazil and 193,000 in the United States.
India, which imposed one of the strictest blockades at the start of the epidemic, has noticed that the number of daily cases has accumulated since April without transparent symptoms of an increase.
While the blockade did not prevent the spread of the pandemic, it hit India’s economy hard, with a 24% contraction in GDP in the last quarter, the worst functionality of any primary economy in the world.
Although cases continue to grow, the government is now making efforts to revive the economy with cities such as Delhi, Lucknow and Ahmedabad reopening their subway service.
Faced with mounting complaint about its handling of the pandemic, the government fought back, raising India’s relatively low death rate to 1.7%. The Health Ministry tweeted on Monday: “India’s global and calibrated movements as a component of the ‘TEST TRACK TREAT’ have resulted in a low mortality rate. Sustained efforts through early diagnosis and immediate and effective remedy continue to decline. the CFR. “
India had first implemented one of the strictest measures to curb the pandemic, which included the implementation of a national blockade considered the most giant in the world. While the blockade prevented an early epidemic, the number of remaining cases decreased, which in America and Europe has severely affected the country’s huge deficient population. The closure, which came into force here with very little prior warning, has left millions of migrant workers stranded in cities with no source of income or means to return home. Many eventually walked many miles to their villages, probably taking the fatal virus to rural India.
