India reported Wednesday the biggest jump of 64,531 new instances of COVID-19, bringing the total to 2,767,273, according to the most recent knowledge published through the Federal Ministry of Health.
The number of deaths in the country has increased to 52,889, with 1,092 new deaths reported in the last 24 hours.
According to the data, there are still 676,514 active cases in India and 2,037,870 others have been cured and removed from hospitals.
In recent weeks, the Indian government has focused on building capacity.
As of Tuesday, a total of 31,742,782 tests had been conducted, of which 801,518 were on Tuesday alone.
This is in accordance with the latest knowledge through the Medical Research Council of India (ICMR).
