India detects a new case of the XBB 1. 5 strain of Covid, the total number rises to 8

India has reported one new case of Covid-19 XBB 1. 5, bringing the total to 8 in the country, according to data from the Indian SARS-CoV-2 Genomics Consortium (INSACOG). The Covid XBB 1. 5 strain is for the increase in cases in the United States.

The new case of the XBB 1. 5 strain was reportedly detected in Uttarakhand within 24 hours. Previously, 3 were discovered in Gujarat, one in Karnataka, one in Telangana, one in Chhattisgarh and one in Rajasthan.

The XBB. 1. 5 strain is similar to the Omicron XBB variant, which is a recombinant of the BA. 2. 10. 1 and BA. 2. 75 subvariants of Omicron. Together, XBB and XBB. 1. 5 account for 44% in the United States.

While XBB 1. 5 is to blame for Covid-19 cases in the U. S. In the US, INSACOG data showed that nine cases of the BF. 7 strain, which is to blame for the coronavirus wave in China, have been discovered.
