The death toll rose to 5,31,778 with 8 deaths adding 4 in Kerala, according to information updated at 8am.
The Covid case count recorded at 4. 49 crore (4,49,81,475).
Active instances now account for 0. 03% of overall infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98. 78%, the ministry said.
The number of other people who recovered from the disease amounted to 4,44,35,204, while the case fatality rate was recorded at 1. 18%.

According to the ministry’s website, 220. 66 million doses of the Covid vaccine have been administered in the country as part of the national vaccination campaign.
