India recorded 310 new coronavirus infections, while active cases rose from 4,972 to 4,709, according to Union Health Ministry data updated on Monday.
The death toll rose to 5,31,866 with two deaths, according to knowledge updated at 08:00 hours.

Active instances now account for 0. 01% of total infections, while the national recovery rate from COVID-19 has been recorded at 98. 80%, the ministry said.
The number of other people who recovered from the disease amounted to 4,44,53,479 and the case fatality rate was recorded at 1. 18%.
According to the ministry’s website, 220. 66 million doses of the Covid vaccine have been administered in the country as part of the national vaccination campaign.
