India 159 new covid cases

India has recorded 159 new covid cases in the past 24 hours, the Union’s health ministry said on Sunday. Covid cases have declined after the recent outbreak due to the XBB. 1. 16 Omicron variant.

The number of active instances has dropped to 3,343 and 531,880 deaths have been recorded since the start of the pandemic.

Health experts say the number of hospital admissions has also declined with fewer covid cases reported. However, other older people and others with comorbidities are still vulnerable to getting the infection. Also, doctors say those other people take their booster dose if you haven’t already done so and maintain proper behavior.

It should be noted that XBB. 1. 16 is the variant of covid-19 that has been to blame for the outbreak of recent months. In addition to this, scientists say that other people in India have developed hybrid immunity (due to vaccination and herbal infection), therefore existing variants of covid-19 will not be cause for hospitalization and severity as they are benign in nature.

About 4. 45 million people have recovered from the infection with 359 patients recovered in the last 24 hours. The current recovery rate is 98. 81%.

Meanwhile, the Union Ministry of Health ordered the state government/UT to adhere to a risk-based technique to save it and involve infection. The Ministry of Health has asked state governments to review the covid-19 scenario at the micro point (district and subdistricts) and focus on implementing the mandatory measures for timely and effective control of covid-19 with due assurance of effective compliance.

The government has asked states for the five-pronged strategy, the Test-Track Treat-Vaccination strategy. About 84,628 tests were conducted in one day, bringing the total number of tests to Rs 92. 93 crore.

So far of the covid vaccination campaign, more than 220. 67 million doses of vaccine have been administered to the population across the country. In the last 24 hours, approximately 602 doses of vaccine have been administered.
