PARIS – A sudden increase in the number of daily deaths in France by COVID-19 is the result of un reported cases in the past at a hospital near Paris, according to fitness officials.
This figure included 76 deaths recorded at a hospital near Paris, according to an explanatory note published online through Public Health France, the country’s national fitness firm that reports new cases of COVID-19 every day.
“This knowledge is eded in 237 admissions files, adding 76 deaths . . . this explains the increase in the number of deaths reported to date,” the fitness firm said.
The hospital in question is located in the Essonne branch, about 55 km south of Paris, according to an independent Geodes agency, which monitors public fitness data.
“This increase in the number of other people hospitalized . . . it doesn’t reflect new hospitalizations, but recently reported hospitalizations,” Geodes said on his website, referring to this hospital in Essonne.
Spokespersons for the Ministry of Health and its national fitness firm were not available without delay for comment.
