Turkey has recorded 2,165 more COVID-19 patients in the past 24 hours, the government said on Friday, the third day in a row that the number of new patients surpassed 2,000.
The total number of coronavirus patients in the country currently stands at 357,693, according to data from the Ministry of Health. On Thursday, 2,102 new coronavirus patients were reported in the country.
Turkey recorded 1,493 more recoveries in the past day, bringing the total to 311,520.
A total of 115,979 new tests have been carried out since Thursday, bringing the total to almost thirteen million.
At the same time, the number of virus-related deaths in Turkey reached 9,658 and new deaths were reported.
The number of patients in condition now stands at 1,648.
The use of face masks is mandatory in all public places and outdoors in Turkey.
Nearly 41. 86 million people have tested positive for the novel pandemic worldwide, while about 1. 14 million have died and about 28. 41 people have recovered, according to the tally by Johns Hopkins University in the United States.
The United States, India and Brazil are currently the most affected countries.
