In a new virus block, restaurants and gyms will be starting Friday, meetings are cut off

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Benny Gantz will decide this weekend whether schools will close. The closure of the school formula would result in the closure of kindergartens, summer camps and summer schools.

The restrictions were reportedly imposed by national security adviser Meir Ben-Shabbat, whose firm led efforts to combat the virus. The announcement came after lengthy discussions that lasted more than six hours.

“In three weeks we will be in a serious condition at 16:00 if we continue along this path without additional restrictions,” Netanyahu warned at the start of the closet meeting. “If we don’t flatten the curve, we’re putting a lot of Israelis at risk.”

“The choice of the measures we [want] to take are much more complicated steps tomorrow, which we seek to avoid,” Netanyahu said. He added that the proposals submitted to ministers “are primarily aimed at preventing rallies.”

Netanyahu on Thursday asked the chairman of the Knesset’s legislation committee, MP Ya’akov Asher, to prepare the law to be passed next week and to give the government the strength to demand full closures over the weekend.

Under existing rules, the cabinet has the strength to impose new restrictions without delay, after which the Knesset has a week to approve or cancel them.

One of the main issues of discord in Thursday’s assembly is the fate of the school system. Education Minister Yoav Gallant opposed school closures, arguing that knowledge of the spread of the virus did not verify the decision.

Ofir Akunis, Gila Gamliel and Ze’ev Elkin of Likud opposed the closure of schools, Ynet reported.

According to the Twelfth Canal, Health Ministry officials told ministers that Israel could see 20 coronavirus deaths a day next month if the rate of new infections is reduced.

Meanwhile, Gantz proposed that locks be imposed on weeknights as a way to improve social estrangement while having minimal effect on the economy, Channel 12 said. It was unclear whether he proposed the measure instead of weekend closures or in addition.

Justice Minister Avi Nissenkorn on Thursday insisted that any restriction does not restrict political protests, amid recent protests opposed to government policies opposed to coronaviruses and demonstrations opposed to Netanyahu’s continued rule.

Israel showed a record 1,939 new in 24 hours on Thursday night.

As of Thursday night, there were 25,305 active cases in Israel. Of the patients currently, 202 are in severe condition, 58 of them with fans. Another 110 people were in moderate condition and the rest had mild or asymptomatic symptoms.

Five other people died from COVID-19 on Thursday, raising the death toll to 384.

Of the other 46,059 people who tested positive for coronavirus in Israel since the onset of the pandemic, 20370 have recovered. The ministry also said that 30,509 tests were conducted on Wednesday.

A prominent Israeli doctor told the Times of Israel on Thursday that weekend locks can do more harm than smart by forcing others to return, where the virus spreads more easily.

First, Israel was thought of as a tale of good fortune after suppressing the virus by applying a strict blockade in March and April, but saw the pandemic succeed in unprecedented degrees after schools reopened and almost all restrictions were overturned.

Experts have blamed excessive reopening and the lack of an effective tactile search program as the main points in the virus revolt.
