Immune reminiscence cells to recognize coronavirus: study

Researchers at the La Jolla Institute (LJI) in the United States have found that immune reminiscence cells that expand as a result of exposure to bloodless viruses may also stumble upon SARS-CoV-2, according to a Live Science report.

The study indicated that this is an explanation for why there are other degrees of covid-19 severity in others: their immune responses are different from others. Their findings were published Tuesday.

Corroborating research conducted through scientists in Germany, US researchers argued that auxiliary T cells recognize the corresponding molecular structural sites in SARS-CoV-2. T cells are a component of the multi-arm immune formula that protects the body from destructive microbial agents.

“This can help some other people have milder symptoms of the disease, while others become seriously ill,” Daniela Weiskopf, an assistant LJI professor, said in a press release.

“Immune reactivity may result in other degrees of protection. Having a more powerful mobile T reaction or a higher T-mobile reaction can give you the opportunity to create a much faster and more powerful reaction.”

However, the researchers also noted that there is no really broad relationship that T cells are related to the severity of the disease.

According to the German study, 24 (35%) of the 68 healthy people, who were exposed to SARS-CoV-2, had T cells capable of detecting complex coronavirus proteins corresponding to innocent coronaviruses without blood.

“If we assume that these bloodless viruses are able to confer a safe point of immunity opposed to SARS-CoV-2, it would mean that other people who have been exposed to such infections in the afterlife and whose control is positive for cross-reactivity T cells deserve greater protection,” said Andreas Thiel, principal investigator at Charité – University university of BerlinArray , who oversaw the study, as cited in the Telegraph report.
