The Iron Ore Company of Canada claims that an out-of-province contractor at its Labrador City mine has assumed it tested positive for COVID-19.
In a worker’s memorandum Friday night, received through CBC News, the company stated that the user was from New Brunswick and had won a check result allegedly positive normal staff check from outside the province.
The user did not go to the Labrador City site and checked himself, says the memo from Daniel Allaire, general manager of processing operations.
“The individual will continue to be isolated until it is legal through public health,” Allaire wrote.
“It is a very transparent reminder for all of us to continue with our displayed protocols similar to COVID-19, and to remain focused on meeting all public fitness rules in position, whether on the floor and in our communities. “
Previously, the province had not yet been confirmed for six days without a new case of the virus, and the case is presumed positive.
CBC News contacted public aptitude in Newfoundland and Labrador and New Brunswick for comment.
An update of COVID-19 will be published through the provincial government of N. L. through a press at 2 p. m.
