IDF says they attack Syrian Golan, drop threatening leaflets

The Israel Defense Forces dropped threatening leaflets Sunday in southern Syria warning Syria to avoid cooperating with Hezbollah, opposition media reported, hours after it allegedly carried out missile movements at a Syrian army site.

The flyers, which were purportedly written in Arabic and addressed to “soldiers of the Syrian [Arab] army,” matched the taste of flyers that had been dropped in Syria in the afterlife and included the silhouette of an eagle, the symbol of the IDF. Bashan’s 210th Division, which is tasked with protecting Israel’s border with Syria and the Golan Heights. The IDF declined to comment on the case.

In the pamphlet, the IDF gave the impression of assuming the duty of the night’s movements. The IDF does not publicly acknowledge attrition moves in Syria, as part of its general policy of ambiguity regarding its efforts against Hezbollah in the country.

“Time and time again, he has been guilty of the damage caused by his decisions. Hezbollah’s continued presence in Tel al-Qalib’s domain and its collaboration with it has brought and will bring something good. Hezbollah’s presence in the region has brought him humiliation and he is paying the price,” the leaflet says.

Saturday night’s attack was opposed to an SAA radar formula in the Tel al-Qalib area near as-Suwayda, reported through opposition-affiliated media in Syria. There is no comment from Syria’s official news firm SANA or other regime-affiliated media.

The IDF accused Syrian dictator Bashar Assad’s army of actively aiding Hezbollah and warned it was opposed to doing so, either through leaflets thrown along the border and open public appeals, in some cases naming Syrian and Hezbollah officials involved, adding officials from the Syrian 90th Regiment. . Brigade and 1st Division.

Although the IDF does not comment on rapid movements in Syria, it has admitted to carrying out many raids against Iranian-backed teams seeking to gain a foothold in the country over the past decade.

The Israeli military says it is also attacking arms shipments purportedly destined for those groups, chief among which is Lebanon’s Hezbollah. In addition, airstrikes attributed to Israel have targeted Syrian air defense systems.
