A self-proclaimed psychic dubbed “The Living Nostradamus” has unveiled his new series of prophecies for 2024 and it’s shaping up to be a whirlwind year.
Athos Salomé, 37, from Brazil, warned The Sun that next year could mark a “new chapter in human history” – one filled with aliens, a robot rebellion, global catastrophe, but also hope.
The creepy futurist claims to have already predicted the coronavirus pandemic, the World Cup final, the invasion of Ukraine and the Queen’s invasion.
He has been with Nostradamus, the outstanding 16th-century seer whose enigmatic prophecies have come true over the centuries since his death.
Now, Salome is giving him a hard time as he looks forward to what the long haul of the new year will bring.
When it comes to space, Salome says it’s going to be an absolutely “transformative” year.
He believes that in 2024 humans will finally come into contact with extraterrestrials.
However, he cautions that they may not be “science fiction narratives,” such as spaceships invading Earth.
Instead, he forecasts that humans and aliens will communicate through “encrypted signals intercepted by a network of telescopes”.
However, our year of extraterrestrial discovery will not stop there.
The 37-year-old also claims that a “material asteroid” is heading towards Earth and will land safely next year.
He predicts that this never-before-seen mass of ancient area will spark a new space race as other global superpowers fight to grab a piece of it.
China, Russia, and their pariah friends will fight the West to uncover the asteroid’s secrets and things may get ugly.
Five chilling predictions by the ‘Living Nostradamus’
The increasing advancement of generative AI systems has been heralded as a new era for innovation or perhaps the end of humanity.
And Salome says that the fears that are arising are justified.
He predicts that by 2024, superhuman intelligence systems will achieve self-awareness, that is, conscious virtual minds, capable of functioning without human intervention.
The psychic calls this “AI awakening” and believes that robots will expand a language beyond the comprehension of their human creators and thus us from their conversation.
According to their visions, the effects will be catastrophic for the social fabric of our societies, which are not prepared for a rebellion led by machines.
“Equipped with self improvement capabilities and covert communication channels – it could lead machines and us down a very perilous path,” fears Salomé.
The Third World War is no longer improbable, Salomé tells The Sun, but an “urgent reality. “
However, he prophesied that the threat wouldn’t be coming from the Putin’s war in Ukraine or the Israel-Hamas conflict, but triggered suddenly by either an event in the South China Sea or a major cyber attack.
These are two areas, the futurist argues, where the global can potentially be distracted as you age a year.
But the axis of evil that has been forming lately between the Chinese and Russian superpowers has a lot to do with the world’s descent into all-out war, Salome warns.
And whatever the form the conflicts take, he highlights that the disconnectedness of the global economy means it has never been more vulnerable.
“Any conflicts could have a profound impact leading to recessions in several major economies.”
Sadly, if 2024 wasn’t already shaping up to be a bleak year, Salome warned of a looming global disaster as herbal bugs spread across the planet.
He even claims to know precisely where those tragedies are going to happen.
Nature “always has a knack for surprising us,” he says, and warns against complacency in the face of herbal threats.
The psychic predicts three major flashpoints of pain in the Middle East and Africa – South Sudan, Somalia and Yemen.
He fears that major droughts due to climate change could devastate those countries and that conflicts that were already simmering could erupt.
In the meantime, the U. S. will continue to fight fire and water, Salome says.
It predicts that hurricanes and tropical storms will cause deadly flooding near the Gulf of Mexico, while California, Oregon and Washington could see new wildfires.
However, the seer is keen to point out that does not want to cause panic due to his predictions but to call for action and “shake up thinking”.
He clarified that none of his predictions are set in stone and that at all times it is conceivable that positive responses could replace them.
