The HR Policy Association, which represents top human resources officers (CHROs) at more than 390 of the largest U. S. employers, has announced that the HR Policy Association is responsible for the implementation of the HR Policy Association. A survey of U. S. citizens in the U. S. and around the world recently released key findings from its annual spring survey, focusing on the most sensitive issues facing CHROs lately: racial justice and inclusion, pay equity, and the effect of COVID-19 on the future of work.
Collectively, the HR Policy Association represents the employers of more than 11 million Americans, approximately nine percent of the U. S. workforce. CHROs are guilty of finding, hiring, and developing the skills needed to succeed in their organization’s global marketplace.
Timothy J. Bartl, President and CEO of the HR Policy Association, said, “Our insights from the survey show that HR Policy Association members continue to look out for the overall well-being of their artists and stakeholders. Whether moving toward a culture of greater inclusion and belonging, creating a more flexible work environment, or promoting greater health, major employers continue to innovate and lead the way.
With more than one-third of all HR Policy Association members responding, the most sensible questions and answers from the spring survey are:
Top CHRO Concerns The majority of respondents agree that diversity and inclusion (82%) and cultural transformation in preparation for post-COVID (71%) are the most sensible concerns for their company. Almost a fraction agree that executive progression (50%) and skill control (49%) are areas of concern. A smaller, but still significant, number of respondents (32%) say digitalization and employee engagement are areas of concern.
COVID-19/Return to the Office: What approaches would you use to inspire your workers to get vaccinated against COVID-19? Most respondents use two main approaches to encourage their workers to get vaccinated: paid time off (53%) and inspiration from managers (50%). Some do not inspire their workers to get vaccinated at all (13%), while few require certain populations to get vaccinated (7%). Other inspiration strategies come with education campaigns; communication plans; global marketing campaigns; on-site vaccination events; physical care premiums/wellness credits; and inspiration from local experts, scientists and doctors.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Since George Floyd’s death, what changes have you made to your company’s diversity, inclusion, and belonging/equity strategy? Two adjustments made by the highest respondents (85%) come with the expansion of inclusion activities and the expansion of senior management involvement. Other adjustments come with launching/expanding subconscious bias education (70%), evaluating disaggregated demographics (57%), and focusing on hiring in educational establishments with strong minority ability (51%). Examples of other techniques adopted include listening sessions and sharing experiences; removing names from resumes; networking partnerships to help find/prepare diverse skills; create DE positions
