Max Verstappen is looking for his season win as he starts the Brazilian Grand Prix from pole.
It’s been a year of dominance for Red Bull, with a third F1 world championship ending in October and the record for most wins in a season already secured.
Verstappen has three more chances to add to his tally, starting with Sao Paulo, where the weekend was again solid. Pole was secured in qualifying on Friday, before a comfortable victory in Saturday’s sprint race.
Charles Leclerc joins him on the front row after completing a qualifying session in the rain, ahead of Aston Martin duo Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso.
Mercedes have won this race in the last two seasons, but Lewis Hamilton and George Russell have a lot of work to do if they want to make this race bigger. Hamilton starts the race fifth, while last year’s winner, Russell, is eighth after winning. A grid penalty.
