Political leaders from all over the world, take note of what happened in New Zealand, science can be like chocolate. If you treat it well, make sure it’s genuine and use it on everything you do, it can be your ally.
Science played a significant role in helping only New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern be re-elected, but also her Labour Party to win an “overwhelming majority. “These are the words used through Helen Sullivan, guardian journalist, below Pius:
One of the definitions of dictionary. com “hit” is “to please or relate to a hit”, which is not a very useful definition. The other definition is “remarkably large, immense, exceptional or impressive;” resonant,” as in “it’s a plate of pasta that resonates” or “you have an impressive amount of groundhogs in your house. “Then, presumably, Sullivan referred to the hard-hitting victory in the election and not to a repeated noise.
Here’s Ardern’s victory speech, broadcast through Sky News:
Ardern has gained worldwide popularity in the giant component through its control and that of its rule of the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic. This is a positive popularity and not “My God, what did this country leader repeat” or “why the hell is the trend of ‘Lone Ranger’ on Twitter. “Instead of using his “instinct,” what he felt that morning, or what his idea attracted to a componnticular political basis, Ardern and his leadership implemented pandemic reaction measures backed by genuine clinical evidence. Ardern and his leadership were not blinded by science, as was Thomas Dolvia’s song, but opened their eyes to science.
A recent publication in Lancet Global Health reported on New Zealand motions and what happened to the pandemic in that country. As described in the publication, much of the information came from East and Southeast Asian countries such as China, Singapore and South Korea. Although they faced Covid-19 coronavirus before the rest of the world, these countries have used “combinations of measures such as movement restrictions, physical distance, hygiene practices, and extensive case and touch detection and management” for major respiratory syndrome. coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) than countries with longer delays than the United States and the United Kingdom. The New Zealand government has shown its readiness to be informed of these other countries, rather than ridicule them in the best way.
The New Zealand government also understood that SARS-CoV-2 was not the same as influenza or even pandemic influenza and “therefore required different strategic approaches. “New Zealand had already imposed border restrictions before the first local authorities were shown on 28 February 2020. The real turning point came after New Zealand made a very important transition from undeniable mitigation, which slows transmission, to elimination. In this case, deletion means preventing the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 network in an attempt to remove or approach it. covid-19 occurrence very close to zero. It’s like saying, “Instead of just slowing down groundhog activity in my house, I’m going to get all the groundhogs and their party outings out of my house. “the expulsion methods eventually became a national blockade consisting of orders to remain in the house for 26 days (or 2. 6 Scaramuccis) of the first cases shown.
Note that this meant that “locks” were the main intervention strategy. The locks were just a measure of transitority and were components of a mixture of other responses, such as a layer of chocolate in a twenty-story chocolate chocolate. The publication provided the following summary of what happened during an era of three months from February to May:
As you can see, this included a coordinated combination of policies to prevent the spread of the virus, but also transparent systems to test, track and isolate, track the spread of the virus, warn the public about the risk point and compensate for difficulties. resulting from policies.
The publication shows how the number of new instances of Covid-19 coronavirus peaked in a time after March 22, and then in April and early May very close to zero. In mid-May, the appearance of Covid-19 was virtually zero.
The effective reaction to the Covid-19 coronavirus was not the only time science seemed to distinguish between the two leading candidates in the New Zealand general election. In a broadcast on Newstlk ZB radio, Judith Collins, leader of the Opposition Labour party, The National Party, made not-so-scientific statements about the ongoing global obesity epidemic. As reported through the Australian Associated Press in The Guardian, Collins insisted that “people want to start assuming some non-public duty to their weight” and that weight gain is not an epidemic and “does not spread. “Collins added: “It doesn’t really take much to get the frozen vegetables out of the freezer and take them out and do something with them. It’s not that hard. ” With nearly a third of New Zealanders suffering from obesity, does this mean that a third do not take frozen vegetables out of the freezer?Does that mean a third isn’t doing things right with them, like hitting their foreheads with frozen vegetables?when they hear comments like what Collins said?
As many public fitness experts have insisted over the past decade, the global obesity epidemic is not an individual challenge but a challenge for damaged systems. Food systems have been invaded through highly processed foods and sugary beverages. Cities are less available on foot. Sports and other physical activities are less available. Our environment is increasingly filled with pollutants. These are just some of the faulty systems that want to be repaired.
There is a difference between partisan politics and conditions under which some political leaders respect science and others do not. There have been attempts to characterize clinical evidence as political reviews when they are not. The Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic actually exposes political leaders who do. Don’t use science to pass. SARS-CoV2 doesn’t care if it only uses words, even the most productive ones, to say that the virus isn’t as serious or will go away. If you don’t create effective science-based responses, the virus will simply shrug and continue to infect people.
The pandemic is a brake on leadership. While leaders in some countries seem to reject or even attempt to suppress science, others have continued to embrace science. Wow, which ones did the most homework to control the Covid-19 coronavirus?
