Houston Boy Rises from Iran

FOX 26 Anchor Rashi Vats spoke with the boy about what he hopes to achieve with development in Iran.

HOUSTON – The situation is worsening in Iran, with the government sentencing 15,000 protesters to death as a “hard lesson” for all rebels.

The protests demand social freedom and political change, and have been held every day since September, when it was reported that Mahsa Amini, 22, was killed after being arrested by the moral police for violating the Islamic Republic’s dress code.

While there are great efforts to stumble and forget about those protesting, millions of others are on social media to keep their voices alive, adding a local Iranian-American.

“I feel excessive empathy for the plight of the Iranian people,” said Amir Safi, who lives in Houston but was born in Iran. They went to America in search of freedom, like many others.

“I am devastated by the lack of price for human life, and I hope this is a boost and a fuel that leads to greater freedom. Not only for the other Iranian people, but also for other people around the world,” he said.

Charles Adams and Quanell X talk about the protests sparked by Mahsa Amini, 22, who killed for not wearing a headscarf.

The poet presented Write About Now (WAN) with poetry from around the world. He has a huge fortune on social media with a variety of big names sharing content like Tommy Hilfiger, Lenny Kravitz, and Busta Rhymes.

His message is getting a lot of attention.

“I made this message to magnify the voices and struggles of the Iranian people, who are fighting here so vehemently for freedom in the streets while they are killed and detained and for what?”

Millions of people, like Amir, actually fuel their destiny of freedom around the world.

Since the protests, the Iranian government has blocked Instagram, which is the only foreign social media platform that other people can use.
