MANILA, Philippines – Lawmakers attending President Rodrigo Duterte’s State of the Nation (Sona) address on July 27 will be evaluated for coronavirus.
For Members of the Chamber and staff, RT-PCR controls will be conducted on July 26 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. while immediate control will take place on July 27, from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Venice Hall of the South Wing Annex in Batasang Pambansa.
Several fitness protocols will be implemented for Duterte’s penultimate Sona in Batasang Pambansa, such as the mandatory use of masks and face screens for those entering the consultation room.
A physical distance of two meters will be strictly applied, Roque said.
Floor marks of at least six feet will also be placed at all entrances, elevators and pedestrian traffic sites, while one-way stairs will be designated for congestion.
The lifts will also accommodate 4 passengers at any time and it is not recommended to speak indoors.
Roque added that the aptitude test, the temperature control of the painting, disinfection and the presentation of the bureaucracy of aptitude declaration will also be carried out at all entrances to the buildings.
People with temperatures of 37.5 degrees or more will be denied access and redirected to quarantine shops under the supervision of medical staff, Roque said.
