Hospitalizations and coronavirus have dropped from its peak from mid-March to mid-April.
Nearly 60% of Covid-19 extensive care beds across the country are now empty, according to official figures.
Bangladesh reported 1,682 new instances on Friday, after reaching an all-time high of 7,266 instances on 7 April.
April is the toughest month in terms of deaths, with the country recording 2,404 deaths, the highest in one month since the start of the pandemic.
Only 638 deaths recorded in March.
According to the fitness authorities, 1,090 intensive care beds are allocated to Patients with Covid-19 in hospitals across the country. On Wednesday (May 5), 618 or 57% of them were vacant.
In the capital, Dhaka, about 60% of the 771 beds of extensive care in public and personal hospitals were empty, while in the port city of Chittagong, 38 of the 71 were vacant, according to the Directorate-General for Health Services (DGHS).

Official figures show that 77% of general beds for Covid-19 patients were empty until May 5.

Analysis of April data

The number of cases began to increase with the number of deaths, breaking all previous records.
Of the 11,833 deaths as of Friday, April of this year recorded 2,404 deaths, while March recorded only 638 deaths.
The 112 highest deaths in a 24-hour era were recorded on April 19, while the 7,626 highest new cases were recorded on April 7. The highest daily infection rate was 23. 57% on April 9.
The number of empty extensive care beds fell to 21% on 13 April, while 37% of beds were empty on 1 April, according to official data.
However, knowledge of April 14 showed that the lowest 17% of intensive care beds were empty that day.
The number of empty beds to be built returns the next day with 21% and reached 5% until 5 May.
According to knowledge from April 1, up to 5. 7% of general beds remained vacant in the country, but the percentage was 77% as of May 5.
Professor Nasima Sultana, also ceo of DGHS, said that when infections soared in April, the government imposed a national blockade and restrictions to stop the spread of the virus.
