COVID-19 hospitalization rates in Australia’s eastern states are surging as the fourth wave of cases continues to spread.
In New South Wales and Victoria, hospitalisations continue to rise.

Hospitalization rates in New South Wales increased week-over-week from 974 to 1. 1158; A building that reflects positive cases from 19,800 to 27,869 at 4 p. m. on Thursday.
Victoria saw hospitalizations drop from 274 on a seven-day moving average to 352.
This week, 20,398 new ones were reported, up from 16,636 last week.
ACT was also spared this wave, with a 41% increase in cases, with 135 to 175 cases reported per day.
ACT Health medical advisor Dr. Therese Marfori said the territory expects COVID-19 cases to increase in the coming weeks.
Earlier this week, Health Minister Mark Butler said the expert panel’s recommendation was as follows: “Atagi reviewed foreign evidence, as well as local knowledge related to vaccination numbers and case counts in the pandemic, and did not submit a fifth or third dose.
