Although holidays in Spain are suspended for now following the country’s withdrawal from the UK’s quarantine-free list, many Britons remain in the country during their full summer travel. Tourists in some areas are expected to face new restrictions as local government implements new regulations to express hot spots.
Both Mallorca and Ibiza will be affected by the latest government crackdown on tourism activities.
Regional governments in both spaces have imposed a ban on pool parties and also highlighted existing restrictions on ships, banning them anywhere on the island where they are moored.
The government of the Balearic Islands has taken strong action for nightlife and recreational activities following evidence of a strong link to coronavirus outbreaks.
President Francina Armengol announced at a news convention monday that boats and parties are prohibited at pool stalls.

There is also a new ban on the sale of alcohol in any form of transport related to tourism.
The measures are part of a new set of restrictions waiting for crowds of tourists.
The new regulations apply to Mallorca and Ibiza, as well as Menorca and Formentera.
In recent weeks, reports and photographs of party boats and pool parties have been published in which participants were dressed in masks, which is mandatory and does constitute a social estrangement.

Pubs and restaurants will have to meet for the last time at 1am without new consumers being accepted afterwards and with reduced capacity.
Nightclubs and cocktail bars have been closed and smoking is prohibited in public spaces where a social distance of two meters is maintained.
The Balearic Tweeted: “Now is the time for responsibility.
“We suspend nightlife, reduce congestion and ban smoking in public spaces when the distance is maintained.”
Anyone who fails to comply with the regulations faces a fine of between 25 and 600,000 euros depending on the seriousness of the situation.
The organization of parties by boat or in the pool is now sanctioned with a fine of between 60,000 and 600,000 euros.
In addition, the offending venue would possibly be closed for up to 3 years and if it were a tourist domain, the owner would possibly be prohibited from renting it for a holiday during the same period.
The prime minister of Balaerics said many of the measures announced through the plant last Friday had already been implemented on the islands.
Other new regulations come with a ban on touch sports for the next 15 days when the resolution is reevaluated. Sports competitions scheduled to begin on September 1 will be postponed until October 1.
Visits to nursing homes will be subject to new controls and the capacity of churches and places of worship will be reduced to 50%.
All institutions must demonstrate their opening and closing hours as their capacity.
They also use good enough signage to remind consumers of social distance regulations on the site and mandatory use of face masks.
