A British airport has announced its goal of reopening routes from foreign flights by launching an on-site coronavirus service.

Heathrow announced this morning that from there it will offer one-hour Covid evidence to passengers when they check in.

The tests, which will charge 80 euros according to the passenger, are from the airport’s plans to “open trips abroad”.

They will be presented in Terminals 2 and 5 for Hong Kong and Italy, and will be available for an initial duration of 4 weeks with the option to extend the service.

The move comes less than a week after British Airways announced that it would move more to Heathrow from rival Gatwick Airport.

John Holland-Kaye, Managing Director of Heathrow, said: “These amenities will allow passengers travelling to those countries to pass a check and be able to provide service to passengers upon arrival.

“Ultimately, we want a foreigner not unusual for pre-departure testing, and we welcome the recent announcement through the UK government of its goal of leading the establishment globally.

“We will paint with them so that this happens as temporarily as possible, for subsistence and life. “
