MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – HealthPartners announced Wednesday that it is concerned in clinical trials of the progression of the COVID-19 vaccine through The University of Oxford.
The trials, conducted through AstraZeneca, are being conducted at a few hundred more sites in the United States, Peru and Chile, but the HealthPartners trial is the only one being positioned in Minnesota, the company said.
“This study complements our other efforts to advance COVID-19 testing, remedy and care and is a vital component of our project to improve fitness and well-being,” said Andrea Walsh, President and CEO of HealthPartners.
Researchers said they are focusing on recruiting others with fitness disorders that would “most likely do to expand severe COVID-19 bureaucracy,” such as center disorders or diabetes.
They refer to others who are at least 18 years of age and who are most at risk of contracting the virus, such as first responders, physical health workers, and those in the food services or food production industries.
