More than 30 teams from the net in the North Highlands got a major help to help them in closing Covid-19.
Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd has provided 30,000 euros in monetary assistance to local groups, waiting for an increase in the call for the pandemic.

David Whiteford, president of the North Highland Initiative, said: “This important and specific fund is a means of monetary assistance for communities experiencing specific demanding situations due to the existing coronavirus crisis. Our purpose was, and continues to be, to identify areas, projects, and local projects for which government systems may not be able to help and those that are not eligible for emergency funding.
Funding is limited to 1,000 euros according to the project, so smaller grants can be provided to as many communities as possible.
