Greece can be added to a developing quarantine list after an accumulation in the number of Covid-19 cases.
Several of the top tourist destinations, adding France and Malta, have joined in recent days.
However, there are considerations about Greece, which is one of the main places of vacation.
The most recent figures show that Greece’s covid-19 infection rate has nearly quadrupled in two weeks.
It now appears to exceed the key benchmark threshold of 20 Covid instances, in line with another 100,000 people, reaching 21.2 in the past two weeks, The Mirror reports.
The rate is higher as it makes only 6.1 infections for another 100,000 people just two weeks ago.
Transportation Secretary Grant Shapps has said in the past that quarantine measures would be activated against other people arriving from countries with more than 20 infections consistent with 100,000, in a seven-day moving average.

Downing Street added, however, that experts are examining not only the infection rate consistent with 100,000 inhabitants, but also the rate of detection and reliability of knowledge produced across the country.
Shapps said last week on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme: “With France and those countries, the Netherlands and elsewhere, the numbers have just exceeded the threshold, which are about 20 instances consisting of 100,000 measured on a 7-day moving average.
“This is what the Joint Biosafety Center will discuss.”
Forcing British tourists to isolate themselves for two weeks after returning from Greece would be another blow to Britain’s foreign industry after Spain, France and Portugal were quarantined.
Greece, where another 223 people died from the pandemic, was considered safe for tourists.
But cases increased after their borders were reopened to the British in mid-July.226 new cases have been reported through the European coronavirus authorities, adding more than 1,000 in the last five days.
Gkikas Magiorkinis of the University of Athens said this week: “We can say that Greece has officially entered a wave of epidemic.That’s where we can win or lose the battle.”
Travel expert Alex Macheras told the Mail on Sunday: “At the beginning of the pandemic, Greece imposed a strict blockade and controlled the spread of the virus.
“But this has been comfortable to the point of being completely random.
“As a result, the number of cases has skyrocketed.It is a country suffering with competing economic and public skills interests.
“Anyone who travels will have to do so with their eyes open to the danger of quarantine being imposed at any time.”
Britons desperately looking to escape for sunbathing are running out of classic hot spots unless they need to isolate themselves for two weeks when they return to the UK.
The list of government exemptions from “travel corridors” countries from which other people arriving in Britain do not have to be quarantined is reviewed as ministers and officials struggle to avoid a resurgence of cases here.
Portugal was not on the list of exemptions when it was published last month and Spain has become the first country to be eliminated.
France was removed from the list last week, prompting a race through the Canal ferry ports, airports and Terminals of Eurostar when the British rushed home before the restrictions took effect at 4am on Saturday.
Greece set a transitional limit for another 50 people for public gatherings last week and said restaurants and bars will have to close earlier in Athens and other parts of the country.
