31 Ago (Reuters) – Several midwest states are experiencing an increasing number of COVID-19 cases and positive results, some similar to the reopening of schools and others after an annual motorcycle rally in Sturgis, South Dakota.
Iowa leads the country with an accumulation of more than 8,000 instances during the following week, or 116%, based on a Reuters count of state and county reports.At the same time, positive check rates in Iowa rose from 13% to 24%.the week after.
South Dakota currently has a positive verification rate of 23%, followed by North Dakota with 20%.At least 25 states have reported a positivity rate of more than 5%, a point the World Health Organization says raises considerations because it suggests that there are more cases to be discovered.
South Dakota attracted thousands of others to the annual collection in Sturgis from August 7-16.The South Dakota Department of Health said 105 cases had been attributed to the event.

Nationwide, the number of new instances fell by 2% last week, the sixth consecutive week of decline, the number of new infections is still on average more than 41,000 consistent with the day.
The total number of COVID-19 deaths in the United States last week dropped by 7% compared to last week and averaged 900 deaths consistent with the day.
The United States assessed an average of 715,000 other people a day last week, compared to 685,000 a day last week, but below a peak of more than 800,000 other people a day at the end of July.
Nationally, the percentage of all tests that tested positive for the new virus fell for the fourth consecutive week to 5.8%, up from 6.3% last week and below a peak of nearly 9% in mid-July, according to knowledge of the COVID Monitoring Project, a volunteer-led effort to monitor the epidemic.
