Gov. Steve Sisolak said frontline physical care staff can expect to get the first doses of a coronavirus vaccine as expected as soon as it arrives.
Sisolak unveiled the state’s plan to implement the vaccine at a news convention Monday in Carson City, and said the state will use its existing vaccine stock formula to unload doses.
“I need to be very clear, there are still a lot of unknowns before a vaccine is in a position to be distributed,” the democrat said for the first term from a convention room in the state legislature. “But I need you to know that we will make you in a position when the time comes.
“There is no vaccine approved at this time,” Sisolak added. “There is a lot of speculation, there is no definitive timetable for when one can be approved.

Officials said the so-called “Nevada Playbook” should be considered a “living document” that will be added and adjusted according to vaccine availability.
