COLORADO SPRINGS – Governor Jared Polis travels through southern Colorado on Tuesday, visiting locations in Colorado Springs and Pueblo.
The governor said he would talk about the state’s reaction to COVID-19 and the scale in local organizations supported through the COVID-19 aid fund.
He visited the Citadel Mall review site in the morning where he verified COVID-19.The review site opened last month with the cooperation of the Colorado Department of Health and El Paso County.
In the afternoon, Polis will go to the ActivArmor 3-d printing facility in Pueblo to communicate with those who create the PPE and distribute the device to the state’s extensive care facilities.
He will meet with farmers in Pueblo Chile before giving a press conference on the state’s reaction to COVID-19 at 2:15 p.m.at Pueblo Community College.

Polis asked about recent news from Colorado College about distance learning during the semester after other academics tested positive.
He said it shows the importance of the cohort in schools.If the cohorts are working, schools don’t have to close everything, just quarantine this group.
Polis then asked about recent calls with the White House and the recommendation offered.
He said White House experts had talked about a comeback for the students and talked about the quick-come-back tests that are coming.Polis said he expects greater availability of quick exams for schools and universities in the coming weeks.
The government then asked to explain what it had said about the cohorts and whether the existing technique used in many schools is working.
