It is now possible for parents to vaccinate their children against Covid-19 if they wish, Minister of Social Affairs and Public Health Jakob Forssmed told Swedish News Radio.
A year ago, the Public Health Agency stopped recommending the covid vaccine for 12- to 17-year-olds. This meant that young people, regardless of age, can only be vaccinated for special medical reasons.
Today the government has made another assessment and allow Covid vaccination to children, because legally it cannot deny them vaccines.
