Government approves Iraq’s plan to identify embassy in Ireland

THE GOVERNMENT approved the Iraqi government’s plan to identify an embassy in Ireland.

The plan, which would see a resident embassy established by the Republic of Iraq in Dublin, was approved by the Cabinet the day before.

The Iraqi government needs to identify the embassy to expand bilaterally with Ireland and provide consular assistance to all Iraqi citizens living in Ireland.

Currently, Ireland does not have an embassy in Iraq, and any citizen consular assistance in the country is invited to touch Ireland’s embassy in Jordan.

Initially, the Iraqi embassy was expected to be headed by a chargé d’affaires, who is a deputy ambassador.

The memorandum submitted to the Cabinet through Foreign Minister Simon Coveney, who also raised considerations with Iran’s Foreign Minister and Iran’s ambassador to Ireland on Mahsa Amini’s death.

Coveney is understood to have had a lengthy phone call with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and expressed fear over Mahsa Amini’s death.

This comes as Iran has continued to crack down on protests in the country’s Kurds following the death of the 22-year-old.

Riot police fired on at least one neighborhood in Sanandaj, the capital of Iran’s Kurdistan province, while condemnation came from Amnesty International and the US government. U. S.

This comes as Fianna Fáil senators presented a move to Seanad on Mahsa Amini’s death last night, which they supported.
