Goalkeeper Dylan Garand and center Kent Johnson will lead the Canadian junior men’s team on Monday.

Hockey Canada has named its full roster for the postponed U-20 World Championship, which will begin Aug. 9 in Edmonton.

Garand, 19, a member of Canada’s youth team that won silver at the 2021 World Championships.

The Victorian local played his entire career in the Western Hockey League with the Kamloops Blazers.

Johnson played games with the Columbus Blue Jackets of the NHL last season, dishing out 3 assists with a plus-2 spread.

Johnson, 19, of Port Moody, B. C. , represented Canada at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.

Garand and Johnson were part of Canada’s youth team at the 2022 World Junior Championships before the tournament was postponed due to several COVID-19 outbreaks.
