MOST GHANAIANS BELIEVE THAT THE COUNTRY’S CURRENT ECONOMIC CHALLENGES HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AND THE ONGOING RUSSIAN INVASION OF UKRAIN.
The research conducted through Info Research and Assessment UK Limited, a UK-based body, said that 52. 5% of Ghanaians, the existing demanding economic situations have been basically caused by COVID-19 and the Russian-Ukrainian war, whose repercussions they are going through.
The survey was conducted from October 27 to November 3, 2022, with a pattern of another 254,759 people drawn from the country’s 16 regions.
It was conducted “face-to-face” and respondents were asked to answer express questions. The margin of error for the search / – 2%.
Some of the questions asked to respondents included “Do you think that Ghana has been affected by COVID-19, the war in Ukraine and that this is the explanation for the existing economic difficulties?”
52. 5% answered “Yes”, 45. 5% answered “No”, while 2% answered “Not sure”.
On the consultation of voting in long-term elections, the study team made the following consultation; “If the elections were held today, what are the problems you have in voting?”33% of respondents talked about “corruption,” 31% said “economy,” while 31% said “SHS free. “4. 5% of respondents chose “Other factors”.
On President Akufo-Addo’s recent speech on the state of the economy, the following consultation was published; “Were you encouraged by President Akufo-Addo’s recent speech on the economy?In response, 47% answered “Yes,” 45% answered “No,” and 8% answered “Not sure. “
The researchers further asked “Who will you vote for in 2024 between Bawumia and Mahama?”46% of respondents said Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, 35% opted for former President John Mahama, while 19% said “they will vote because the two parties (NPP and NDC) are the same. “
