BERLIN – Germany has extended a partial warning to Spain to the capital of Madrid and the Basque Country due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Tuesday.
The Foreign Ministry said it was cautious in opposing unnecessary tourists in any of the regions due to the increasing number of new infections and local restrictions placed in position to involve the spread of the new coronavirus.
The German government had already issued warnings for the Spanish regions of Aragon, Catalonia and Navarre. (Report through Michael Nienabe; Editing through Sandra Maler)
