ASTANA. KAZINFORM – The deputy speaker of the Senate of Kazakhstan, Olga Perepechina, met with a delegation of the German Bundestag, Kazinform quoted the press service of the parliament space as saying.
In her welcome speech, Senator Olga Perepechina noted that Germany is a strategic spouse of Kazakhstan in the EU. He pushed for a full understanding between Astana and Berlin across the spectrum of bilateral cooperation and key issues on the foreign agenda.
“We pay wonderful attention to the progress of inter-parliamentary cooperation between our countries. The friendship teams in the parliaments of both countries provide a solid foundation for our inter-parliamentary dialogue,” he said.
For his part, Senator Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed informed the visitors of the political and economic reforms carried out in the country at the initiative of the Kazakh Head of State. While reporting on the upcoming early presidential election, the senator under pressure that the big news will be a seven-year presidential term. According to him, the norm aims primarily at the long-term stability of the political system, eliminating the dangers of hoarding by force and strengthening the fundamental principles of democracy.
The German delegates stressed the importance of further strengthening cooperation between the two countries, noting that throughout more than 30 years of diplomatic relations, Kazakhstan has proven to be a trustworthy political and economic partner.
