German Parliament approves Sweden and Finland’s BIDS for NATO

The German parliament on Friday ratified the accession of Sweden and Finland to NATO.

The Social Democratic Party (SPD), the Greens, the Liberal Democratic Party (FDP), the Christian Unity Parties (CDU-CSU) and the Alternative Party for Germany (AfD) gave everything to the NATO club of Sweden and Finland.

German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht said the move by Finland and Sweden is and deserves support.

“The north and the flanks of NATO are gaining decisive power. We are strengthening freedom and democracy with the admission of Finland and Sweden to NATO,” he said.

His club only strengthens the alliance, but also strengthens solidarity and unity in Europe and the transatlantic region, he said.
