Chris King’s seventh annual open house was held in Portland, Oregon last weekend and we were there to see the merchandise.

This is IRL’s first collection since the beginning of the Covid pandemic, and some developers went out of their way to showcase their crafts, all of which were specially designed for this exhibit featuring Chris King’s newest color version, simply called “Midnight. “

From exclusive builds and adventure-ready racks to stunning paint jobs and matching car trim, 15 of America’s most no-nonsense brands and one Spaniard were on hand to showcase their traditional creations.

In addition to motorcycle manufacturers, exhibitors included Simworks, Cervelo, Santa Cruz Bicycles, SRAM, Robert Axle Project/Old Man MTN, Super-Pacific and Biciclista Clothing.

As it approaches its 50th anniversary, Chris King Precision Components is a national manufacturer of functional motorcycle parts in Portland, Oregon. They are highly regarded internationally for their high-quality, bomb-proof and shiny hulls, bushings and rear mounts.

This is a prototype of Breadwinner’s All Road bike that has yet to be released.

Breadwinner is the collaboration of award-winning motorcycle developers Ira Ryan and Tony Pereira, who fuse their styles and approaches into each of the Breadwinner motorcycles. Each motorcycle is made of custom-made Columbus steel, ancestral structure techniques and finely tuned geometry.

The All Road will be between the Lolo road motorcycle and the existing B-Road.

Austin-based motorcycle maker Chumba has its roots in downhill mountain biking, but makes U. S. -made titanium messengers. UU for mountain biking, gravel crushing, motorcycle packing, cyclocross, travel and everything in between.

Beautifully handmade, built to last and race-tested, their frames have set ultra-race records in the Tour Divide (among others).

Sim Works, a distributor of handmade bicycle products, began generating “capable bikes” under the name Doppo.

The 3 models are a fashionable touring car (shown here), a flexible motorcycle and a motorcycle companion.

Inspired by solo travel, these motorcycles are designed to be durable and companions.

Custom stainless metal motorcycles with an English twist. Bob English is a British graduate of the University of Cambridge with a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Eugene, Oregon.

At the show, English presented a ‘motorcycle forever’ designed for a visitor who needed a motorcycle to cope with rainy weather and rugged British roads. As such, this road frame has room to have compatibility with wider tires and fenders.

Coming from Brooklyn, New York, it might seem unexpected that Horse Cycles is showcasing a mountain bike, but with the Catskill Mountains just a three-hour drive away, it’s exactly the kind of motorcycle you’d need to have on your solid for a weekend.

The Hell Cat rigid metal is an All Mountain ripper with 27. 5 x 2. 8 tires, a 66º head tube angle compatible with suspension forks from 150 mm.

This pink messenger is a Mosaic MT-2, a titanium RIB designed for marathon races and cycling adventures.

It is built around a 120 mm suspension fork, 29×2. 6 tires and a set of specific size straight gauge titanium tubes.

The MT-2 is a component of Mosaic’s new Batch Build program, this messenger can be yours in as little as 2-4 weeks.

The Drifter is the maximally flexible motorcycle in 22nd place and comes with the motto: “Optional pavement. Adventure must. ” It has wheel arches up to 700 x forty-five mm or 650B x 50 mm, disc brakes with thru-axles and geometry suitable for all roads.

New York manufacturer Ti used Chris King’s display to launch its all-built-in front finish that included an internally routed Ti cockpit, a bespoke helmet and head tube, and a 3D-printed sintered titanium bar. Along with complete new schematics and Chris King’s rear stand and tone cubes, this bike was one of the most observed.

For the noisier color on the screen, this handmade carbon mount attracts attention. Carl Strong and his team at Pursuit Cycles set out to create the antithesis of a generic carbon rendezvous bike by adding paint, which is bright and noisy.

The bright green color of the Pure Road device was accentuated through the tone of the new CHris King components, adding a pair of Chris King wheels, a rear mount and a helmet.

They are simply wonderful wines that come out of Napa. Curtis Inglis has been making traditional metal motorcycles since 1993 and is known for its sinuous tubular stands.

Each year, Portland-based Speedvagen produces a mysterious paint scheme for one lucky customer. The show Surprise Me debuted in Chris King with an old motorcycle and a matching team car.

The inspiration for this year’s design scheme came from the Cannondale team’s 1988 crest. They even found a 1988 Volvo and gave it a matching envelope to serve as a car.

However, the mystery remains, as the paint scheme has been realized on a new prototype model of Speedvagen, which will be released soon.

Jeremey Sycip is known for his hindquarters. It’s a phrase to write about, but when it comes to your homemade titanium frames, it’s true.
