GEORGIE – To help the public stay on top of daily updates on coronavirus, the Georgia Department of Public Health updated its online page tuesday. These changes, which come with up-to-date county data, hospitalizations, and positive testing, are designed to make the dashboard easier to use while providing an accurate picture of COVID-19 in Georgia, DPH said.

Readers can now decide on the map and replace the display date. In addition, a percentage of positive laboratory knowledge was added.

The Georgia Department of Public Health reported that a total of 241677 showed instances of COVID-19 at 2:50 p.m. Tuesday. That’s 2,873 more than was reported at the same time on Monday.
Georgia has also reported 4794 deaths for COVID-19, 69 more than reported on Monday. In addition, the state reported 22,429 hospitalizations, 296 more than the previous day, and 4,117 overall admissions to extensive care units.
No data are available in Georgia on the number of patients cured.
Counties within or near the Atlanta Metropolitan Domain continue to have the number of positive verification results, and Fulton County is proceeding to dominate the state.
Counties in or near the Atlanta Metro also continue to have the highest death toll by COVID-19. The only exception is Dougherty County, Georgia’s first primary outbreak.

Worldwide, nearly 22 million more people have become inflamed with coronavirus and more than 776,000 people have died, Johns Hopkins University reported Tuesday.
In the United States, more than 5.4 million other people were inflamed and more than 171,000 people died from COVID-19 on Tuesday. The United States has only about 4% of the world’s population, yet it showed more cases and deaths than any other country.
