GA sees 100 new coronavirus deaths as it’s promoting ‘good numbers’

GEORGIE – The day after the state promoted its “good numbers” of coronavirus, the state registered a hundred other people in Georgia who died from the virus, adding a teenage girl.

On Tuesday, Georgia recorded 107 new deaths, 2,236 new cases and 292 new coronavirus hospitalizations, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health’s website. One of Tuesday’s deaths was a 14-year-old woman from Habersham County with pre-existing conditions.

In total, Georgia has recorded 258,354 cases of coronavirus, 5,262 deaths and 23,717 others hospitalized since March.

In a press on Monday, titled “DPH provides an update on COVID-19 trends in Georgia,” the Georgia Ministry of Public Health reported these “positive indicators”:

Further down the report, the Department of Health declared “areas of concern,” long-term care services, and schools, many of which have reopened and closed in recent weeks due to COVID-19.

The full report is on the Georgia Department of Public Health website.

However, on Saturday, Georgia was the tenth state to report more than 5,000 deaths from COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus.

CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS

Counties on or near the Atlanta Metro continue to have the number of positives, with Fulton County still at the forefront.

Counties in or near the Atlanta Metro also continue to have the highest death toll by COVID-19. The only exception is Dougherty County, from Georgia’s first primary outbreak.

On Tuesday, Georgia administered more than 2.5 million COVID-19 tests.

While more and more Georgians have been monitored over the following month, the percentage of positive controls has increased slightly, from about 8% to more than 10%. However, in recent weeks, the percentage of positives has stabilized by just over 10%. According to the World Health Organization, the effects of positive controls do not exceed 5% for two weeks before reopening as usual. Georgia reopened largely in April and May, and since then Governor Brian Kemp has strongly refused to demand the use of face masks.

All Georgia statistics can be obtained on the state’s COVID-19 website.

Worldwide, more than 23.7 million other people tested positive for COVID-19 and more than 815,000 people died, Johns Hopkins University reported Tuesday.

In the United States, more than 5.7 million other people were inflamed and more than 178,000 people died from COVID-19 on Tuesday. The United States has only about 4% of the world’s population, yet it showed more cases and deaths than any other country.
