PARIS (Reuters) – France’s Ministry of Fitness reported on Monday the first significant increase in the number of other people hospitalized by the new coronavirus since the closure of the country ended, reversing a trfinish observed since mid-April.
The ministry said the number of other people hospitalized with COVID-19 had increased from 34 to 5045 until Friday.
This was the first significant increase since the number began to decline from a peak of 32,292 on April 14.
The number of other people in extensive care also increased again, from thirteen on Friday to 396.
The ministry reported that the number of coronavirus infections shown increased from 4854 to 202775 over the past 3 days, adding to the symptoms that the virus is spreading faster.
After the number of infections reached a new high after the lockout of 2,288, there were 2,184 new infections on Saturday, 1,885 on Sunday and 785 on Monday, the ministry said in separate releases.
The ministry said the cumulative number of deaths from the virus increased to 30,340, 16 more than on Friday, when 12 deaths were reported.
